Today, Leonid Podlipsky, chairman of Naftan football club, died at the age of 73.

Leonid Danilovich was born on January 9, 1947 in the village Branovichi of Slutsky district. In 1982 he graduated from the Minsk High School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR. In 1968-1988 he served in the paramilitary fire brigade of the Polotsk oil refinery, where he went from the chief of the guard to the head of the detachment. For the next 15 years he worked as the head of the fire department of the department of the police department of the Vitebsk regional executive committee. In the rank of colonel, repeatedly working in Novopolotsk, he headed the city football federation. Under his leadership, a sports base was built in the first squad. Since 2003 he has been chairman of Naftan Football Club.

He played for the national team of Belarus at all-union and republican competitions in fire-applied sports, where he fulfilled the standard of the master of sports of the USSR. He was the champion of Belarus in service all-around, the prize-taker of the Belarusian sambo championship. In Vitebsk, under his leadership, the Dynamo 01 team was created, which became the champion of Vitebsk eight times.
